Join our immersive 3-day Wood Finishing Level 2 Masterclass, where you’ll receive step-by-step instruction in the art of applying finishes on solid woods and plywoods. This hands-on class will cover essential techniques including sanding, surface preparation, and the correct use of solvents. Learn to expertly apply a variety of finishes such as lacquer, shellac, tung oil, and Danish oil, as well as stains, chemical patinas, aniline dyes, putties, grain fillers, paints, and waxes.
For each of the finish types covered in the class we will demonstrate the proper application of the finish materials. We will then guide you through the hands-on process creating your own samples. Each student will be given a special finishing kit to take home that will include abrasive samples, applicator samples, a fine finishing brush, a magnetic finishing cup, and an assortment of additional implements to aid you in achieving better finishes for your projects!
Please plan to bring your own PPE including a good quality dust mask, hearing, and eye protection.
