Description
Join us to for a level 2 class on jigs and fixturing, 3D and multi-component machining, and efficient production techniques. This is a machining class in which you will use our CNC tools to advance your skill in the production of a series of useful tools and fixtures. You will also get the experience of machining parts in rapid succession in a mock production run. Students will make several useful tools and fixtures to take home with them. Some of the key topics we teach in this class include: software workflow efficiency, choosing bits for high volume production, vacuum system design, flat vacuum hold down and part fixturing, jig making, vertical end milling, and tool making with the CNC machine.
We have 12 computer stations equipped with Vectric VCarve Pro and 6 ShopBot CNC machines that you will use in this class. We provide all equipment and materials and for this class, including the components for the tools and fixtures that students will create. Please note this class is a follow up to our Basic Training with ShopBot and is intended for participants with basic operational knowledge of CNC tools.
