Join instructor Stuart Kent for a two-day, hands-on introduction to hollow form woodturning. This class targets woodturners seeking to expand their skills. It teaches techniques for hollow vessels from solid, single-piece hardwood blanks.
Students work on North Carolina Furniture School’s six full-size wood lathes. They receive individual attention and plenty of hands-on turning time. You will learn techniques to shape a vessel, and to hollow and refine it. This approach builds greater confidence in tool control. It also improves woodturning technique.
Throughout the class, Stuart Kent will provide clear, expert instruction as students work through the process of turning hollow vessels from solid hardwood. The focus will be on developing a strong foundation in the skills and techniques needed to continue exploring hollow form woodturning.
