Making digital connections workshop

9:00am – 4:00pm Sunday, April 19, 2020

Join us the day after our first Camp Shopbot for this workshop to explore ways to connect the parts you make on CNC tools. It is a special event and seats will fill quickly, so register today if you want a seat! 

Bill Young and Robert Bridges are coming to the North Carolina Furniture School to teach us how to make corner connections, join short panels into longer sheets, and learn some totally unique decorative joinery that they created using CNC equipment.

Robert Bridges is a building contractor on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, owner of RBW Design Build, and one of the founders of the Shelter 2.0 project. Bill Young is a reformed boat carpenter, a co-founder of Shelter 2.0, and currently a Fabrication Specialist at ShopBot Tools. They have a combined 40 years experience doing innovative projects using ShopBot CNC tools. Together Bill and Robert co-founded Shelter 2.0, a project designed to encourage innovation in the production of emergency and transitional housing.
